I recently had the opportunity to see my favorite Artist Fiona Apple live. I was somewhat nervous about this because I have been to many concerts and sometimes what they sound like on the album is not what you get at the concert. Sometimes the sound is right but the artist just doesn't bring the performance in a way that makes seeing them live something special. I have had Fiona Apple's music on such a pedestal for so many years that I was afraid of the idea that a bad performance would somehow degrade my ability to love each album so very thoroughly. Armed with photoshop, some self-portraits, stock images, and a vision I made my first attempt at a photomontage. It was an asignment for my photography class and I have to say I now have another addiction. I don't know how I'll possibly have time to feed these adictions but all of the possibilities sing me to sleep like a lullaby.
